From GLR Arqui­tec­tos comes the dra­matic shaped “Casa BC”, located in Mon­ter­rey, Nuevo León, Mex­ico, in a unique topo­graph­i­cal envi­ron­ment. Sur­rounded by higher alti­tudes, the house lies in a nat­ural hol­low from where the views are absolutely breath­tak­ing. The shape of the build­ing is very dra­matic and unex­pected angles trans­form this place into a mod­ern and orig­i­nal res­i­dence. Here is fur­ther infor­ma­tion from the archi­tects:  “With vol­u­met­ric pure, but rather com­plex struc­tural solu­tions because of its large open spaces and pro­jec­tions, our project aims to save an image of light­ness within a lan­guage rather heavy vol­ume and mass. Although the color still does not have a sig­nif­i­cant pres­ence in our work, this project takes an impor­tant step in the explo­ration of new mate­ri­als, such as black gran­ite and white con­crete appear­ance, in addi­tion to the char­ac­ter which give the build­ing the large num­ber of steel ele­ments that are visible.”-via Plataforma Arqui­tec­tura
